IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Pauline
Jacob
March 26, 1924 – January 19, 2016
Pauline "Polly" Lucille Jacob, age 91, is finally home with her Lord after a brief illness.
She had been a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, sister and aunt who loved her family and enjoyed the company of friends. She was quite a lady, humble, modest, appreciative, selfless, giving, and never asking anything in return. She enjoyed playing cards and games while socializing with others.
Polly was genuinely interested in everyone she met, never taking people or their kindness for granted. She always put other people before herself and lived out Agape love always making others feel comfortable and accepted in her company. Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family members and friends were drawn to her. She made everyone feel at ease and brought smiles to their faces.
Born in North Canton, Ohio on March 26, 1924, the youngest of 8 children to Charles Wesley and Pearl (Richardson) Chenot, she often referred to herself as a farmer's daughter who loved the country. Polly graduated from North Canton High School in 1942 and had been a Teller at First Federal Savings and Loan form 1970-1980. She was a long-time active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
Survived by her children Suzanne (David) Ring, Scott (Diane) Jacob, daughter-in-law Debbie Jacob Turner; grandchildren Matt (Melissa) Jacob, Amanda (Eric) Darnley, Alison (Gary) Jacob, Stacey (Mike) Cruz, Jen (Demetrios) Geniatakis; great-grandchildren Jared, Olivia, Maggie, Abby, Katie, Elliott, Mia Pauline, Evan; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Charles who passed in October 18 2000, and her son Chuck who passed in February 21, 1994; and 7 brothers and sisters.
She had a strong faith in God, she had received a special present from her friend, a devotional called "Jesus Calling" and said she always felt that Jesus was holding her hand. She would place one hand inside the other, like Jesus was holding her hand. Polly took Jesus' hand on January 19, 2016. She will be forever loved and missed by those who were blessed to be touched by her life.
Funeral services are Saturday 12:00 noon at Arnold Funeral Home Canton with Chaplain Ron Iwanusa officiating. Final resting place is North Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Canton Christian Home, Benevolent Fund.
