Paula H. Leaver, age 68, of North Canton passed away on August 5, 2011. Paula was born in Pittsburgh, PA and had lived in North Canton for the past thirty three years. She was a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College and Akron University, and was a registered nurse. Paula worked at Barberton Hospital, Edwin Shaw Hospital and the Crisis Center. She was also a teacher of Medical Assistants at Southern Ohio College, and was a volunteer at Aultman Hospital. She was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority, Faith United Methodist Church, was in a library reading group, took card stamping classes and did water aerobics. Her first love was her family. She leaves behind her husband, Thomas of 44 years. Two daughters: Lisa McTighe of North Canton and Lee Anne (Rob) Horn of Wyandotte, MI. Two grandchildren: Cole & Carlee McTighe. Brother and sister-in-law: Kenneth & Judy Hockelberg of Arizona. Also survived by the most loving, loyal and irreplaceable friends in the world. A memorial service will be 11:30 A.M. Thursday in Faith United Methodist Church of N. Canton with Reverends Steve & Carla Stoltz-Costello officiating. Inurnment will be in the Columbarium of Faith United Methodist Church.
