PAUL J.YODER Mar. 18, 1936-Jan. 11,2014 New Port Richey, FL.- Paul J. Yoder 77, of New Port Richey died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014 after a brief illness. He was born March 18, 1936 to John and Emma Yoder of Hartville, Ohio. He married Mary Ellen Miller on June 3,1983. Paul and Mary Ellen moved to Florida in 1998 after his retirement. Paul attended Greentown School and Lake Center Christian. He was baptized at Maple Grove Mennonite as a youth. Paul grew up on a farm, worked in construction and at Reynolds trucking. Surviving are his wife Mary Ellen, his sisters Lizzie Ann, Esther (John) Hershberger, Clara (Henry ) Byler of Hartville, Leona (Norm) Slabaugh of Kidron, brothers LeRoy (Martha) of Hartville, Wayne (Linda) of Fresno, OH and Joe (Jan) of Middlebury, IN. and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and brothers Alvin, Henry, John and James and nephews James and John. Paul dearly loved his family, including his nieces and nephews. He was an avid reader, loved sports, especially baseball and horse racing. His kindness and generosity will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Funeral services will be at 10:00am on Sat. Jan 18 at Maple Grove Mennonite church with Pastor Larry Augsburger officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery .
