IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Paul D.
Hisrich Jr.
November 26, 1931 – September 8, 2025
Paul D. Hisrich, Jr. died September 8, 2025 at the age of 93. Paul was born November 26, 1931 in Bolivar, Ohio to Melva and Paul D. Hisrich. He graduated from Bolivar High School then attended Hiram College for a year before transferring to Ohio State University where he pursued an undergraduate pharmacy degree and obtained his DDS. Upon graduating from dental school, Paul married the true love of his life, Rita Mae (Bose) Hisrich in 1957, then served as a Lieutenant in the Navy in Astoria, Oregon for 2 years as a dentist. He and Rita made lifelong friends from around the country during this time. In 1960 they returned to Canton, Ohio where Paul started his dental practice which continued until his retirement in 1999. He then proudly turned his practice over to his son, Guy Hisrich, DDS. He and Rita wintered in the Villages, Florida after his retirement, where they enjoyed golfing, traveling, and many new friends. Paul moved back to North Canton to be closer to family in 2023 where he resided until his death.
Paul had many hobbies. He was a talented wood worker, gardener, photographer, water skier, snow skier, tennis and baseball player, and golfer. It seemed he excelled at anything he chose to do. He made 11 hole-in-ones while living in the Villages. Paul was an avid sports fan, especially for his Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved visiting the Ohio Amish Country and loved to travel, having visited most states and many foreign countries over his life. Most importantly, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and a friend to many. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and good humor.
His wife Rita preceded him in death in 2016. He is survived by his two children, Kelly Wolfe (husband Brian), and Guy Hisrich (wife Amy), and five grandchildren, Molly (Wolfe) Barker, Andrew Wolfe, Katherine Wolfe, Brooke Hisrich, and Drake Hisrich.
