Paul M. Ginther, age 81, of Canton, was reunited in Heaven with the love of his life, Mary Ellen, on Tuesday September 22, 2015.He was born in Canton, OH on September 7, 1934 to the late Emmett and Maud (Strausbaugh) Ginther. He graduated from McKinley High School, Canton Actual Business School and was a U.S.Navy Engineman serving from 1953-1960. Paul had been a Stark County Sheriff Auxiliary Deputy and had been a machine operator for Kent Machine, Portage Machine and finished his career at Ecodyne M.R.M., Inc. Between jobs, he was a salesman at Forest Hill Cemetery and Paul Rice Appliance. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church where he participated in many church outreaches and especially enjoyed the experience of lay speaker. He enjoyed sports and followed his grandchildren cheering at their sporting events and music events. He loved his animals especially his dog Lady and cat Sammi. Preceded in death by his wife Mary Ellen this past August 30th the week of their 55th Wedding Anniversary; and brother William (Beverly) Ginther. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Kevin Scheppler of North Canton, grandchildren Kayla, Kelsey and K.J. Scheppler; cousin Harvey (Betty) Strausbaugh of Florida; niece Lynn (John) Thewes; nephew Jack (Shirley) Dailey; and lots of great-nieces, nephews and second cousins. Calling hours are Saturday 10 AM- noon and funeral services begin at noon with Pastor Don Richards officiating all at the Arnold Funeral Home Canton. Final resting is Sunset Hills Burial Park.
