Paul L. Bingham, age 84, of Canton, passed away Sunday morning August 17, 2008. He was born in Altoona, PA on September 13, 1923 to the late Daniel E. and Lula (Anderson) Bingham and was a 1941 graduate of Altoona High School. He served with the 730th Ordinance Light Maintenance Company of the 30th Infantry Division in the Army during WWII. He retired in 1991 after working for American Motors, Chrysler Corp. and Jaguar Cars. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Norma Jean; children Paul (Geneva) Bingham of PA, Deborah (Larry) Thompson of Hartville, Nancy Conner of PA; brother Daniel (Virginia) Bingham of Akron; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a brother and sister. His wishes were to be cremated and laid to rest at the Military Cemetery in Rittman. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
