Patricia June Youngblood

Heaven gained an angel on June 3, 2023, when Pat Youngblood, age 80, of Hartville, Ohio passed away after a brief illness.  Pat was born in Massillon, Ohio, on November 28, 1942 and graduated from Washington High School (Massillon) in 1960.  After graduating Kent State University, she taught elementary school for several years before becoming a Navy wife and living in Newport News, Virginia, and Charleston, South Carolina.  When she moved back to Ohio, she was instrumental in establishing Medical Records and Transcription departments at Robinson Memorial Hospital, Timken Mercy Hospital, and various others.  Pat also taught Medical Terminology at Stark State College and obtained her Master's Degree in Library and Information Technology.  Pat loved God and was a long-time member of Little Flower Catholic Church, and she also facilitated book studies and bible studies at Little Flower and Nativity.  Pat enjoyed reading, sewing, crafting, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She was a loving woman who will be missed by all who knew her.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Kathryn Smith.  She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Karl; her daughter, Susan (David) Ferrebee, her son, Paul (Amy) Youngblood; her grandchildren, Landen, Matthew, Logen, Shania, Abby, and Katelyn; her sister, Linda; niece, Megan; great-niece, Elizabeth; brother and sisters-in-law, Linda, Shirley, Joan (Rich), Rita, John (Valerie), Dale (Ann), Bob (Jan),Rick, Dan, Ken (Sandy), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2023, from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville.  A Catholic Mass of Christian Burial will be officiated by Very Rev. Canon Christopher Henyk for Pat on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at 10:00am at Little Flower Catholic Church in North Canton. Final resting place is Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to donate to the charity of their choice.
