Patricia Vanest, age 66, of Canton passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2023, at Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. She was born July 19,1956 in Beverly, Ohio to Harold and Betty (Alltop) Shimp and is a graduate of Massillon Washington High School. Patricia was fortunate to be married to her junior high sweetheart, Darrell, who she met one fateful day at the roller rink, and they spent over 53 years together.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Abigail and siblings Rodney Sr. and Vickie. She is survived by her husband Darrell; children Darrell (Connie) Vanest, Danny (Cindy) Vanest, and Amy (Justin) Moran; grandchildren Darren, Zayne, Taylor, Dylan, Devyn, Hanna, Brooke, and Tyler; sister Nancy (Corey) Aguon; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Thursday, June 29 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Arnold Funeral Home at 1517 Market Ave N. Graveside services will be held at Calvary Cemetery at 11:30 AM with Rabbi David Komerofsky and Cantor Bruce Braun officiating.
