Parley L. (Nick) Nichols, age 81, of Hartville, went to be with the Lord. He was found on Wednesday April 14, 2010 after a search that was led by his family and comunity. He was born in Harrisville, WV on September 20, 1928 to the late Everett and Orpha (Goodwin) Nichols. He served in the Army Air Corp during WW II and while in Italy met his wife. He brought his family to Ohio from West Virginia and in 1961 opened a family business, Nick's Body Shop in Hartville. He still enjoyed coming into the shop and seeing some of the old customers and friends. He also enjoyed traveling to the old farm in West Virginia. Preceded in death by his wife Franca Nichols in 2006 and bother Wilbur. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Cheri Nichols of Winston-Salem, NC, Terry and Mary Ellen Nichols of Hartville; grandchildren John (Jeanette) Nichols of Hartville, Angela Poole of Greensboro, NC, Michael (Heather) Nichols of Gambrills, MD, Joseph (Gabrielle) Nichols of Hartville, David (Autumn) Nichols of Uniontown; great-grandchildren including Jessica,Tyler, Dustin, Jadian, Connor, Everette, Elliott, Gabrielle, Amelia, Jacob, Demetri, Jaxon and Cecilia; brothers Bill Nichols of CA, and Earl Nichols of WV; and faithful companion Lady. Friends may call Saturday 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home Hartville and one hour prior to services Sunday 1-2 PM. Funeral services are Sunday 2 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Ross Miller officiating. Final resting place is Hartville Mennonite Church Cemetery.
