Owen R. Coblentz, 80, of Hartville, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at his residence with family by his side. Owen was born in Uniontown, Ohio on December 16, 1937 to the late Andrew E. and Katie (Yoder) Coblentz.

On January 25, 1958, he married the love of his life, Lorene Nisly, who survives. They joyfully celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on January 28, 2018 surrounded by friends and family.

In addition to his parents, Owen was preceded in death by his step-father, Henry Hershberger, his sister, Betty (Crist) Kurtz, and his son, Steven Scott.

In addition to his life-long career working in the construction industry, Owen and Lorene volunteered their time living and working in Maryland, Brazil, Ecuador, Kentucky, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Papua New Guinea, Ohio and many other places throughout the U.S. and Canada. In later years, Owen and Lorene worked with "Ride for Missions" driving a refrigerated support truck and preparing and serving many lunches, water breaks and snacks to the riders. Owen's life reflected his favorite car bumper sticker: "God loves the whole world. No exceptions."

Owen is survived by his wife, Lorene; daughters, Sheri (Michael McDonald) and Helena Larios; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Lauren, Brandi, Hunter, Jalen (Faith) and Jovan; and great grandson, Harlin; brother Leon (Esther) and step-brother, Pete (Mary) and numerous Nisly siblings and spouses, and nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are Friday 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Cornerstone Mennonite Church, and Saturday (9-9:45 AM) prior to services. Funeral services are Saturday 10 AM in the church with Pastor Stan Grizzle officiating. Final resting place is Walnut Grove Cemetery.
