Olwen Irene Tucker, age 89, passed away on December 22, 2008 at home in North Canton, OH. She was born July 2, 1919 in Martins Ferry, OH. A daughter of Welsh immigrants, the late David and Mary Elizabeth Parry, she was the last survivor of her ten siblings and very proud of her heritage. She was a Real Estate Broker for many years in Stark County. A member of The Canton Baptist Temple since the mid 1960's, having been raised in The Welsh Congregational Church in Martins Ferry, she was a woman of faith who cherished her family. She is survived by her loving husband of sixty-seven years John E. (Jack) Tucker, two sons and their spouses, John (Amy) Tucker and Bob (Becky) Tucker, grandchildren Amy (Jim) Steiner, Dr. J. David (Kathy) Tucker of Woodstock Georgia, Jason (Stephanie) Tucker of Westerville Ohio, and Michael Tucker. Her great grandchildren are Erin Steiner, Lauren and Luke Tucker, Jack and Clay Tucker. Others include sister-in-law Betty Mingo of Gray Maine and numerous nieces and nephews. Although she will be greatly missed by all who loved her, we will abide with our loving memory of her, in faith. The family expresses their appreciation to Dr. Stacy Holloway and as well as Hospice for their loving care. Funeral service will be Wednesday 12:00 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. Friends may call on Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
