January 18, 1932 – February 13, 2019
Norma Jean Sullivan, age 87, of the Hartville area, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday February 13, 2019. She was born on January 18, 1932 in Monterville, West Virginia to the late Garnet and Dorothy (Conrad) Woomer. Her mother died a few days after giving birth and Norma was raised by Eliza Dodrill, her maternal grandmother. She met and married James Sullivan in Monterville, West Virginia and moved to Ohio in the 1950's. Norma worked for Teledyne Monarch Rubber Company for over 30 years. She was a member of Hartville Church of God. Norma Jean loved to garden, canned every year and was the greatest country cook and it was said she could make gravy out of dish water. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, was cherished by all and we will miss the fun times.
Preceded in death by her husband James in 1997 and son-in-law Ferris Morris in 1998; she is survived by 2 her daughters Rhonda Morris, Terri (Ed) Schlenker; 5 grandchildren Amy Morris, Renae (Joe) Wright, Shannon Schlenker, Stacey (Casey) Schlenker, Heidi (J.R.) Smith; 10 great-grandchildren Alea Morris, Liam, Mason and Preston Wright, Kaiden and Grayson Schlenker, twins James and Fletcher Smith, Micah and Annabell Smith; cousins Ron Guzy and Carolyn Guzy Bajus; nieces Sherri, Billie Beth and Kathy; other relatives and friends, especially many local wonderful friends.
Calling hours are February 21st, Thursday 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM at Hartville Church of God, 532 W. Maple St. Funeral services are Thursday 1:00 PM in the church with Pastor Neil Davis officiating. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
