Nora Lee Short, age 76, of Canton passed Wednesday June 30, 2021.

Born in Ardmore, Alabama to John and Ora Lee Stevenson/ Crutcher and retired from Ford Motor Company. Nora stayed true to her soul food and spade games. You can always see her cooking collard greens, pig feet, neck bones and her chitlins. She was never caught without a cup of black coffee with 10 pounds of sugar.

Survived by brothers Calvin (Cathy) Stevenson of Delrose, TN and James (Tomeka) Stevenson of Suffolk, VA; grandson Craig (Gabriela) Short; and a host of other family members.

Preceded in death by husband David Short Sr. and two sons David Short and Wendell Short; parents John and Ora; and 2 brothers John Robert and June Stevenson; and 2 sisters Ora Sherrell and Alease Stevenson.

She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed.

Burial in Blanche Cemetery, Taft, Tennessee.
