Nita D. Welch, 77, of Hartville, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Akron on September 11, 1948 to the late Walter and Eris (Harpold) Wisor.

She was a proud 1966 graduate of Copley High School.

Nita was a skilled crocheter and loved using that skill to bless others with handmade blankets during special life events that they will always have as a reminder of her love for them.

Her heart was always happiest when surrounded by family, especially her grandchildren and beloved dogs, Checkers and Murphy.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Kara Welch, Megan (Joe) Zelch, and Ed Welch; and 9 loving grandchildren.

A piece of Nita's heart remained with her son Brandon when he passed and they are now together again along with Ed, Nita's husband of 39 years.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 26, 2025 at Mt. Peace Cemetery in Hartville.
