Nihla Hadsall Yant, Age 89, of Canton, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, March 4, 2011. She was the daughter of William & Hattie Terrill of Carrollton OH. She is predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Harold, and a sister, Virginia. Nihla is survived by a daughter; LuCinda, sons; Steve and Randy, and a sister, Lavina. Nihla was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church, a former member of Pro-Arts/Art Institute of Canton and was instrumental, with her husband, in bringing USABDA ballroom dancing to the Canton area. She loved sales and was most recently employed by Medina Glass Block, but also worked for 14 years at Westbrook OBGYN and previous to that at Schuman Drugs. Nihla's enthusiasm and zest for life will be missed by her friends and family. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 7th at 11:00 a.m. in the Spiker-Foster Shriver Funeral Home, 4817 Cleveland Avenue, NW. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, March 6th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
