Neva J. Harper, age 90, of  Cairo, West Virginia, was  joyfully reunited in heaven on June 11, 2025 with her loving husband, Brooks Harper, Jr., sons Michael Harper, David Harper, Timothy Harper, and many other loved ones who have gone before her.

Neva had a deep love for her family and a true gift for making a home warm and welcoming. She found joy in cooking, playing the piano, singing, sewing, and crafting—there was little she couldn't do once she set her mind to it. Always creative and full of energy, she was often busy with a new project or trying out a new recipe. Generous with her time and love, Neva never hesitated to lend a helping hand, whether to family, friends, or anyone in need. Her grandchildren—and especially her great-grandchildren—were the light of her life. Above all, Neva loved the Lord with all her heart. In her final days, she often spoke of her deep faith and her longing to be with Jesus.

Neva is survived by her son, Steven (Karen) Harper; nieces she raised as daughters, Shelly (Chip) Lamm and Trudi (Rodney) Kerns; her daughter-in-law, Elise Harper; grandchildren April (Isaac) Wright, Christa (Lance) Troyer, Joshua (Tina) Harper, Aaron Harper, Britney Harper, and Brooks Harper; and her beloved great-grandchildren Zachary, Matthew, and Samantha Troyer; Isaiah, Daisy, Kayli, and Kyle Wright; Wyatt, Abigail, and Morgan Harper; and Jake, Colin, and Tristan Harper.

The family will hold a graveside service on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Terry Cemetery in Cairo, West Virginia.
