Nellie M. Price, 99, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord on October 19, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 31, 1925 in Laurel Hill, North Carolina to the late Francis and Nellie (Driggers) Norton.

Nellie grew up learning the art of true Southern hospitality. Her kitchen was her sanctuary, where she worked magic with a pinch of love and a dash of sass.

She also built lifelong friendships and was blessed with kind neighbors at Lake Commons who faithfully checked in on her, especially her family friend Paul.

Left to cherish her memory, her daughters Gloria Jean Price-Callahan and Deborah (Mark) Price-Lambright; 8 grandchildren Lorie, Randy, Joe, Jennifer, Jocelyn, Matthew, Amie, and Nate; 21 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Her treasured title was and always will be "GG."

In addition to her parents, Nellie was preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Price, daughter Marjorie Barrett, sons-in-law, Frank Alexander and Joe Callahan, grandson Jeffrey Drayer, great-grandson Eric Rohrer and baby Nell.

Nellie was also the last surviving sibling to four sisters and 3 brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 27th from 1-3 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home-Hartville. A funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. at Pastor Lennie McKinney.
