Neil Gerren passed away at home in the early morning of December 8, 2021 after a valiant 17 month battle with brain cancer. Neil held an impressive lifelong career in technology Dell being his last efforts while supporting and treasuring his family. His many passions included HAM radio, which allowed him to chat with remote islands that his family had to Google; playing his beloved jazz music on a stunning collection of bass guitars; and driving a well-loved RV across the country after painting the exterior in his front driveway. With his wife Lisa of 33 years, he traveled to such frontiers as Budapest, Dublin, Munich, Istanbul, and the Panama Canal. He did his best to live by the wise words of Bill and Ted: "Be excellent to one another." Neil will be dearly missed by his wife, Lisa; children, Emily and Samuel; father, Harold, and brothers, David and Paul. A memorial service will be held December 16 at the Chapel at Tinkers Creek, calling hours from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., service at 7:30 p.m. The service will be livestreamed on the Chapel at Tinkers Creek Facebook page for those friends unable to attend in person. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Brain Tumor Association, abta.org or Hospice of the Western Reserve, hospicewr.org.
