Druckenbrod
February 13, 1927 – September 15, 2008
Ned E. Druckenbrod, age 81, of Hartville, entered eternal life on Monday after a brief illness. Born in North Canton to the late Sylvester J. and Ruth (Howell) Druckenbrod he was a retired Civil Engineer with ODOT. Ned received his major in structural engineering and his civil engineering degree from the University of Colorado. Following college he went to work with the US Geological Society in Northern Alaska and worked to the Arctic Circle. He also served in the Air Division with the Navy during WW II. He was a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church, Ohio Society of Civil Engineers and Surveyors, U.S. Department of Engineers and Surveyors, and was a former member of the Ravenna Elk's Lodge. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister: Margery Leasure and a brother Jack Druckenbrod. Survivors include his wife of 53 years Virginia (Schneider) Druckenbrod. Daughter: Leslie (Brett) Bolgrin and a son: Ted Druckenbrod. Three grandchildren: Max, Mary and Harrison. Funeral service will be Friday 1:00 P.M. in Martin Luther Lutheran Church with Pastor Timothy H. Muse officiating. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 6 to 8 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. and one hour prior to the service on Friday in church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Martin Luther Lutheran Church 701 Walnut Ave., N.E. Canton, OH 44702.
