Nancy A. Hess, age 83, of Canton passed away Thursday evening, December 27, 2012 at St. Joseph Care Center in Louisville. She was born March 29, 1929 in Canton to Dr. Charles F. and Helen (Potter) Hess. Nancy graduated from Lehman High School in 1946 and Pennsylvania College for Women in 1950 and had been a member of Christ Presbyterian Church. Nancy was known for her beautiful voice and pursuit of classical music. She is survived by her brother, Charles F. Hess Jr.; nephews Charles F. Hess III and Christopher P. Hess. Nancy's life was enhanced to the end by loving care of her dear friend Bernardine J. Akkerman of Canton. A memorial service will be Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home in Canton with Rev. Wendy Bausman officiating. Private interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery.
