Obituary

Myrtle Mae (Boston) Mastell, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, age 86, of The Villages, Fla., formerly of Canton, Ohio until 1995, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014. She was born April 7, 1928 to parents Glen O. Boston, I and Edith Mary (Boydelatour) Boston. Myrtie graduated from Timken High School where she excelled in the secretarial vocation. She worked for a number of employers over the years and retired from the secretarial field where she had become a skilled stenographer. Myrtie is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Earl F. Mastell; three children, son and daughter-in-law, Dan & Kim Mastell of Texas and daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Roger Sanders and Patti and Dave Broemsen, both of Ohio; six grandchildren; three great granddaughters; brother, Glen O. Boston, II and brothers-In-Law, Mal (Betty) Mastell of Ohio and Lee (Wilma) Mastell of Okla. Myrtie loved animals and adopted many dogs over the years volunteering at a pet shelter when she was younger. She served as youth leader and a woman's circle member at the Church of the Covenant in Ohio. She was an avid bowler when she was younger, bowling on numerous leagues. Myrtie had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at Arnold Funeral home in Hartville at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015 with calling hours from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to her favorite charity; The American Cancer Society.
