Murielle W. Nechamkin, age 88 of North Canton, passed away Friday night, December 30, 2011 at Aultman Compassionate Care Center, She was born August 12, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York to Lionel and Eva (Holzberg) Wolff. Mrs. Necamkin worked as a bookkeeper and office manager before ultimately finding her calling as a teacher and Job Placement Coordinator, receiving her Bachelors and Masters degree in her 40's. She was a past president of B'nai B'rith and Hadassah in New Jersey and past president of Shalom Congregation in Williamsburg, Florida. Murielle was also a member of Temple Israel and Shaaray Torah Synagogue. Murielle also volunteered extensively with B'nai B'rith, assisted Russian Jewish immigrants with employment and volunteered in numerous other community organizations. She was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Dr. Howard Nechamkin in 2003. Survivors include daughter, Emily Nechamkin Sterling of Lake City, Florida; sons, Dr. David (Terry) Katz of Canton, Edward (Cynthia Groomes) Katz of Rockville, Maryland; brothers, Marvin (Mary) Wolff, Jay (Nan) Wolff; grandchildren, Robyn (Jason) Eckel of Cary, North Carolina, Lindsay (Seth) Francis of Indianapolis, Indiana, Sara (Michael) Freedman of Brooklyn, New York; great grandchildren, Chloe, Carter, Dylan and MacKenzie Eckel, Samantha and Avery Francis and many wonderful friends. Funeral services were held Sunday 11:00 a.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home in Canton with Rabbi Jon Adland and Cantor Bruce Braun officiating . Graveside services were held in Long Island, New York.
