Muriel E. Schwenneker, age 91, of Canton, passed away Friday evening. Born in Canton to the late Earl V. and Etha (Haase) Smith. Muriel was a graduate of McKinley High School and Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio. She enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens as well as genealogy research. Muriel was a member of the Stark County Genealogical Society. Preceded in death by her husband William P. and a son, William David. Muriel is survived by a daughter Linda A. Werstler of Jackson Township, grandson, Brian Werstler of Columbus, Ohio, sisters Beverly Smith of Canton and Shirley (Richard) Frutig of Jackson Township, nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside service will be Tuesday, 11 A.M. in the chapel at North Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Gary Smith officiating.
