Mirl E. Wensel, age 86, of Canton, passed away Friday afternoon in Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Canton to the late Mirl & Dorothy (Pratt) Wensel. Mirl had attended Canton McKinley High School, an Airforce veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and retired from the Ford Motor Company. Mirl enjoyed watching sports especially Canton McKinley football and basketball. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Marilyn, brother; Ronald Wensel and sister; Doris Raggi. Mirl is survived by daughters; Sharon (Lance) Carosello and Linda Voneman. Four grandchildren; Lance and Chad Carosello, Ryan and Ashely Voneman. Seven great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral service will be Tuesday 10:00 a.m. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. NW with the Rev. Tom Hogsed. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
