Miriam Bamfield, age 82, of Canton, passed away Friday, October 3, 2008 following a brief illness. She was born June 24, 1926 in Canton, Ohio. She graduated from Lincoln High school, and has been a life resident of Canton. She was an active member of Westbrook Park United Methodist Church, and was a former employee of Aultman Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Bamfield in 2000, Parents, Carrie and Wilbert Grovemiller, and her brother Robert Grovemiller. She is survived by her son, Doug Bamfield, his wife Kelly, and grandchildren, Jake and Rachel Bamfield, all of Canton. She is also survived by her sister, and dear friend, Arlene Johnson. Services will be Tuesday, 11:00 A.M. in Westbrook United Methodist Church, with Rev. Jonathan R. Reese Officiating. Friends may call Monday, 5:30- 8:00 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. N.W. and one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Westbrook United Methodist Church 2521 12th St. N.W., Canton, OH 44708.
