Obituary

Minnie Frances Tanksley (Clark), born on June 5, 1934, in Whitleyville, Tennessee, went to be with her Lord on March 16, 2025. Minnie, the daughter of Louis and Beulah Clark, graduated from Jackson County, Central High School in 1952 and relocated to Hartville, Ohio. Minnie married Presley Tanksley of Noxapater Mississippi, on November 26, 1954.

Minnie and Presley were among the first members of the Solid Rock Fellowship Church of Hartville, where they actively volunteered in various ministries over many years.

Minnie has many friends that were precious to her. She has been a mother to the motherless, and a mentor for many. She provided her gentle motherly encouragement, to those who needed to see their path more clearly. She loved being a friend.

Minnie loved her husband Presley of 70 years dearly; she adored her children and grandchildren. Her hero was her mother MS Beulah Clark. She had enduring respect for her father Mr. Louis Clark. She cherished all her siblings and loved to reflect on her childhood and humble beginnings in the Hills of Tennessee.

Minnie was preceded in death by her parents Louis & Beulah Clark, and her 8 siblings, John Louis Clark, Marrell Clark, Mildred Allen, Martha Van Hooser, Buford Clark, Hardy Clark, Baily Ray Clark and Joe David Clark.

Minnie is survived by her husband Presley Tanksley of Hartville Ohio. Her three children, Michael (Traci) Tanksley, of North Canton Ohio, Ed (Diane) Tanksley of Granbury Texas, Marcia (Jr) Kreps of Kensington Ohio.  Her six grandchildren, Stephanie (Joseph) Tortola, Ryan (Teresa) Tanksley, Travis (Jess) Tanksley, Nickie (Tyler) Deck, Donald Watkins, Dawson Tanksley (Jaycee White). She has 10 great grandchildren, Sydney, Nik, Luke, Ariel, Rylee, Hannah, Aiden, Nova, Hadley, Rhema, and June, to be born in August. Minnie has three great-great grandchildren Dustin, Dalton, and Dutton, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by two sisters-in-laws, Linda Clark and Pebble Clark, and many nieces and nephews.
