Mindy Beth Silver, age 47, of Canton passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011 after a courageous 27 year battle with MS. Born December 7, 1963 in Cleveland, Ohio to Herbert and Tobie (Switzer) Silver. Mindy was the youngest of 4 children, a graduate of McKinley High School in 1982, Mindy had a talent for art, and loved music, birds, roses, and dogs. After being diagnosed with MS she continued her artistic career and advocated for people and animals in need. Preceded in death by her father Herbert and brother Lanny Silver. Mindy was an active member of Shaaray Torah Synagogue and Friends of Stark Pound. Survived by mother Tobie Silver, sister and brother-in-law Ellen and William Shankle, brother Steven E. Silver, nephews Jeremy (Heather) Shankle and Martin Shankle, great-nephew Tyler Shankle and great niece Kiersten Shankle, niece Melissa Jellel, and 7 loving dogs. Services will be held at The Arnold Funeral Home in Canton on Sunday June 12, 2011 at 1:00 pm with Cantor Bruce Braun officiating. Internment in Canton Hebrew Cemetery.
