Mildred (Millie) Reiboldt passed away May 29, 2010 of congestive heart failure at Shepherd of the Valley Retirement Home in Warren, Ohio. She was born March 4, 1916 in Stark County, Ohio, the only child of Franklin and Lucy (Bowman) Houtz. She was raised in Canton, Ohio, and was a graduate of Canton McKinley High School and Heidelburg College where she obtained her teaching degree. She married Roger Reiboldt on September 29, 1940. Mildred was a member of Leesville United Methodist Church, Conotton Valley Garden Club and Sherrodsville Grange. A homemaker much of her life, she taught school part time and served as Town Clerk of Leesville, Ohio. She had lived on a farm in Carroll County while raising their children, then in Leesville before making her home with her daughter Margaret near Bowerston, Ohio. In 2009, she moved to Shepherd of the Valley to be near her daughter, Carolyn. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and playing the piano. Millie was preceded in death by her husband on August 5, 1993, her son Roger David Reiboldt and an infant great grandson. She is survived by her daughters Margaret (Wayne) Gray of Bowerston, OH, Carolyn (John) Halchuck of Warren, OH and her daughter in law Patricia Reiboldt; ten grandchildren Willy, Jamey, Steven, and Aaron Gray, Pamela Bobersky, Tim Halchuck, Debi Nance and David, Michael and Joshua Reiboldt; and thirteen great grandchildren Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 2 at 11:30 AM at Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville, Ohio. Calling hours will be 10:30 to 11:30 AM prior to the service with interment at Mount Peace Cemetery in Hartville. Pastor Jerralyn Myers will officiate.
