Mildred (Simon) Gross, age 93, passed away Sunday October 23, 2011 peacefully in her sleep. She was born to the late Joseph and Hilda (Cooper) Simon of Pittsburgh, PA. She was born August 20, 1918. She enjoyed playing golf and was a master bridge player. She had an immense love for her husband, Bernie, with whom she celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary in February. Preceded in death by her husband Bernie, parents and step-father Jack Rich, Mildred is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law Jerrold and Freda Gross of Canton; granddaughter Robyn (Jeremy) Gides, great-grandsons James and Jeremy Jr. all of Massillon; brother and sister-in-law Norman "Naty" and Hazel Gross of Cleveland and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 3:00 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home Canton with Cantor Bruce Braun officiating. Interment will be in Canton Hebrew Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc. or to the American Cancer Society.
