IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mildred
Devereaux
March 25, 1927 – November 7, 2022
Mildred (Millie) Devereaux, age 95, of Canton, went home to be with Jesus on Monday November 7, 2022. She was born in Middlebranch, Ohio on March 25, 1927 to the late Palmer and Katalin (Falman) Moser. Preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Robert in 2016; siblings Howard Moser; sister Margaret Berring. She is survived by her sons Robert (Mary) and Jack; grandchildren Sam (Kennedy) Devereaux-Carter, Emily Devereaux; Lindsay (Jon) Rex, Nicholas Devereaux, Caroline Devereaux; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Millie was a lifelong caregiver who never thought of her needs first. Besides her great love for Jesus and following Him, her family always came first. She loved her husband fully and truly, her sons (and later their children) without hesitation, her extended family, all her Sunday School kids, and all she had contact with, regardless of age or station in life/culture. Many that she took care of were in their last stage of life. Out of high school, Millie worked at Stark Dry Goods in Middlebranch before marrying her husband. She cared for his mother in her last days, and transitioned to being a full-time home maker. Millie was a member of the Middlebranch Grace Brethren Church where she was involved in many areas including singing in choir and teaching in vacation bible school, but spent most of her life teaching children in Sunday School how to love, follow and enjoy Jesus, encouraging them to always help others/put them first. This was done not just at church, but at home also as she taught her boys in tandem with her husband in words and actions, how to be true men who work on making this world be a better place. Millie lived what she taught. Calling hours are Thursday November 17th 10-11 AM at Grace Brethren Church of Middlebranch. Funeral services begin at 11 AM with Pastor Jeff Brown officiating. Final resting place is Sunset Hills Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Middlebranch Grace Brethren Church. Family would like to thank Aultman Hospice for their gentle care of Millie in her last months.
