Mildred Berdine (Wirth) Beggs, age 90, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Clemson Downs Nursing facility in Pendleton, South Carolina. Born March 26, 1926 in Limaville, Ohio to the late Harvey and Josephine (Tschantz) Wirth, Mildred was a resident of North Canton, Ohio until moving to South Carolina with her son David (Christine) in 2012. Mildred (Millie) was an avid painter and gardener. She loved her church, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, and never had an unkind word to say about anyone. Millie loved music and would often join in singing church songs at The Renaissance in Due West, SC when she was a resident there. She enjoyed traveling by RV, dancing, playing cards with friends and family, and going for long walks to see all the pretty "posies" and birds. She loved cats and often talked about the cats she had growing up. In her later years, though, her love of cats never faded, but she enjoyed visiting with David's dog, Hector. Millie lived a good life; she touched many hearts with her kind ways and was loved by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Donald E. Beggs (2010), sister, Arlene (Wirth) Nist and her brother, Melvin Wirth. Survivors include 3 children, Dennis D. Beggs of The Villages in Wildwood, Florida, Sherry (Dan) Leach of Denver, Colorado, and her son and caretaker for the past 6 years, David (Chris) Beggs of Townville, SC.; 5 grandchildren, Sarah (Alan) Miller, Kelly (Jared) Donnamiller, Lisa Beggs, Evan (Stephanie) Beggs, and Caitlin Beggs; one great granddaughter, Charlie (Beggs) Donnamiller. Funeral Service will be 12 noon on Saturday in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. N.W. with Pastor Mark A. Williams officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. A private interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
