Mildred M. Barber Mildred M. Barber, age, 98, of Canton was called home to her Lord on Thursday morning at St. Luke Lutheran Community. Born in Hammondsville, OH, she resided in Canton most of her life. Mildred was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church, where she was active with women's bible study, and was a member of the Come Double Class of Christ Presbyterian Church. She was an avid supporter of the Republican Party and was a poll worker for many years, she was also an enthusiastic fan of the Cleveland Indians. In addition to her parents: John & Lena (Dallas) Lowry she was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Barber in 1986 and a brother Arnold Lowry. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Frederick (Barbara) Kroft of N. Canton and Mrs. William (Bonnie) Manos of Ashland, OH; five grandchildren, Thomas (Kathy) Kroft, Jeffrey Kroft, Kristen (Mike) Kalina, Jim (Jenifer) Manos, and Jason (Robin) Manos; eight great grandchildren; sister, Mary Davis of Birmingham, AL. Mildred's family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff of St. Luke Lutheran Community. Funeral service will be Monday 11:00 A.M. in John Knox Presbyterian Church with Rev. Douglas Patton, Rev. Jerry Snyder, and Pastor Donald Rice officiating. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 P.M. in the Spiker-FosterShriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. and one hour prior to the service in church on Monday.
