Milda Ozols (Vestfals) Milda Ozols, 95, of Hartville, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2009. She was born Milda Ormanis in Selpils, Latvia. During WWII, she and her husband and sons fled from her native country to Germany, where they were war refugees until they emigrated to the United States in 1951. She lived in Virginia, Ohio and Florida before coming to live in Hartville, Ohio for her last twenty-four years. Milda lived through some very difficult times, but she did so with a quiet grace, strength and humility, and with no complaints. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Milda was preceded in death by her older son Helmuts, first husband Edgars Vestfals and second husband Kriss Ozols. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Otis and Paula Vestfals, grandsons David (Cindy) Vestfals and Jason (Carrie) Vestfals and great grandchildren Eric and Madison Vestfals. Milda's family wishes to extend heart-felt thanks and gratitude to the caring staffs of Altercare of Hartville and Harbor Light Hospice for their efforts in making Milda's final years more comfortable. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at St. Jacob's Lutheran Church, 1460 State St. NE, North Canton, OH 44721 (between Rt.43 and Market St.) with Pastor Leah Schafer officiating. The family will receive friends a hour before the memorial service from 6-7:00 P.M.. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice in Milda's name.
