Michael "Mike" Wayne Boggs

Michael “Mike” Wayne Boggs, age 78 of Canton, passed away on July 14, 2026.

Mike was born on May 27, 1948, in Charleston, West Virginia to Wendell and Alma (Holmes) Boggs. He proudly served in the US Army in the 101st Airborne and received a purple heart during his service. After leaving the Army, Mike worked and retired from the Hoover Company as a machine operator. Mike enjoyed fixing cars and racing in his early years. He liked to go bowling, and he ran the Stark County Baseball League for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Mike will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Shirley, sons, Michael Jr., and Jonathan Boggs, grandchildren, Cody, Cory, and Eric Boggs, Grace Smith, and Amelia and Claire Santizo, brothers Larry Boggs, Roger (Dina) Boggs, and Rick (Mary) Boggs; brother-in-law Donny (Lana) Walker.

A private inurnment will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
