Michael James Culp, 73, of Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on June 21, 2025. Born on March 29, 1952 in Canton, Ohio, Michael grew up in the Catholic faith and graduated in 1970 from Central Catholic High School.

He began working at the Hoover Company right out of high school and remained a dedicated employee for more tan 30 years until his retirement.

Michael was known for his thoughtful and generous nature. He never forgot a birthday or Christmas and always showed kindness in quiet, meaningful ways. He took pride in his Lebanese heritage, especially through his love of traditional Lebanese cooking. He found peace in companionship of his treasured pet companions and the care of his plants, where his gentle nature truly shined. He was always willing to lend a hand, especially to a special neighbor who meant a great deal to him.

Michael was preceded in death by his cherished parents, Elizabeth Sliman Culp and Clarence Culp, and beloved sisters, Sue Culp and Jennifer Culp Dover; each is deeply loved and remembered.

He is survived by his siblings: Catherine Culp Mannos and husband James Mannos, David Culp, and Sally Culp Hukill and husband Mike Hukill.  He is also lovingly remembered by Ralph Dover, husband of his late sister Jennifer, many dear friends whose lives he touched over the years, and his longtime companion, Pete Norman.

Michael's family loved him deeply and his presence will be missed beyond measure. He was a devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews; each of whom carries sweet memories of the love and warmth he shared. He was also preceded in death by his beloved niece, Tricia Kalkman.

Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 726 Cleveland Avenue NW, Canton, Ohio, 44703, with the Very Reverend Dr. David M. Misbrener, D.Min. officiating.

Following Mass, Michael will be laid to rest at St. Peter's Cemetery.
