Merle F. Wilson, age 90, of Uniontown, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Saturday January 14, 2017 at Altercare of Alliance. He was born on March 31, 1926 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Merle D. and Ethel (Faulds) Wilson and was a WW II Army Veteran. He married his high school sweetheart, Betty (Bacon) July 5, 1947. Together they graduated from Cleveland Bible College. They served congregations for over 50 years in Pennsylvania. After retirement, they made their home in Ohio. He was always volunteering and he loved to travel to the Holy Land.

Survived by his wife of 69 years Betty; son and daughter-in-law Butch and Virginia Wilson of Mount Pleasant, PA; 5 grandchildren, Elizabeth (Chris) Lorince, Rachel Wilson, Karen (Ricky) Lake, Sarah (Jamie) Villinger, Linda (Matt) Flournoy; 9 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his grandson Jason; daughter Carol Shaffer; a brother and a sister.

Calling hours are Wednesday 2 PM- 3 PM and funeral services begin at 3 PM, all at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Final resting place is in Rest Land Memorial Park in Pennsylvania.
