Merle E. Boney, age 87, of Canton, passed away Friday, February 26, 2021. Merle was born in Rinard Mills, Ohio to the late Elmer and Carrie (Haney) Boney. He retired from the Timken Company after 46 years. Merle was a member of Golden Lodge and an avid NASCAR fan. The family would like to thank the Staff of the Country Club Retirement Campus for their comforting care. In addition to his parents, Merle was preceded in death by his loving wife, June; sister, Katherine Hawk and son-in-law, George Hudas. Merle is survived by daughters, Mechell Hudas and Rebecca (Dan) Goffus; grandchildren, Jessica Goffus, Matt Hudas, Zach (Sara) Hudas; great grandchildren, Riley, and Teagan Hudas; brothers, Wayne, Walt, and Jerry Boney and caregiver, Dorsee Kemp.

Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Thursday in the Arnold & Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. NW with Revs. Keith Kull and John Wright officiating. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service (12-1). In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
