Meredith L. Hales, age 67, of Canton, died Sunday, August 10, 2014. Born in Canton to the late Melvin and Kathleen (Carter) Hales he was a life resident. Meredith was a retired teacher having taught at Hartford, Timken High School and Crenshaw. Survivors include two sons: Matthew (Catherine) Hales of Garfield Heights, OH and Patrick (Courtney) Smaranda of Canton. Daughter: Natalie (Thomas) Voortman of Calgary Alberta. Grandson Benjamin and another grandson Chase on the way. Sister: Judith Clegg of N. Canton. Brother: Lloy Hales of Arizona. A graveside service with full military honors will be on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 12:30 P.M. in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
