Melvin R. Yoder, age 85, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday February 23, 2011. He was born in Lake Township, OH on March 6, 1925 to the late Sam and Lizzie Yoder. He was a builder in local construction of houses and was a member of Cornerstone Mennonite Church. Melvin is survived by his children Marlin (Sara King) Yoder of Fresno, OH, Glenda Yoder of Boston, MA, Millard Yoder of Sarasota, FL, Freida Yoder of Boston, MA, Philip (Anita Montufar) Yoder of Sarasota, FL; 4 grandchildren Eva and Elizabeth King Yoder and Fred and Sol Yoder; also many nieces, nephews and friends including caregiver in recent years Shirley Kee. Preceded in death by 2 sisters Katie Hershberger and Clara Miller. Funeral services are Sunday 2:30 PM in Cornerstone Mennonite Church, 1250 Edison St., Hartville, with calling hours starting at 1:00 PM prior to the service on Sunday.
