Maxine Elizabeth Winkler, age 68, of Alliance, passed away Thursday November 15, 2018 in the comfort of her own home. She was born October 21, 1950 in Bridgetown, Western Australia to the late Arthur and Thelma (Feazey) Carroll. Following her marriage to Michael Winkler in 1971, they moved to his hometown of Hartville. She was a longtime employee of Associated Visual Communications in Canton. She was known for her quick wit, humor, and the ability to tell you to "Bugger off!" with a wink and a smile (and get away with it). She enjoyed a good crossword puzzle, white wine, playing cards with friends, and a good PBS Special. She loved her family, but most of all, she was proud of the strong girls she raised.

Those celebrating her life include: her daughter, Felicity Winkler, of Boston, MA; granddaughter, Brittany Winkler, of Alliance; great-granddaughter, Penthesilea Mitchen; sisters, Jacqueline Carroll of Bunbury, Western Australia, and Beverley Blechynden of Denmark, Western Australia; ex-husband, Michael Winkler, of Uniontown, along with many other relatives and friends. She was greeted on the other side by: daughter Dana and her parents.

Following cremation, a receiving of friends will be Wednesday November 21 from 5-6:30 PM at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville with a tribute beginning promptly at 6:30 PM.
