Marylyn I. (Sweitzer) Krider (Mrs. Paul) Marylyn a native of Canton was born on June 10, 1911 to the late Alletha Mae & Frank N. Sweitzer. She passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday morning. Marylyn was a graduate of McKinley High School in 1928 and attended Ward Belmont College in Nashville, TN and graduated from Kent State University. Following, she did graduate work at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. She became a teacher in Canton City Schools. Marylyn married Paul O. Krider and is the mother of Carol Krider Vaughn of Canton and Marylyn (Wilmot) Walker of Sun City West, AZ. She is the grandmother of Anne (James) Mathews of Silver Spring, MD, Mary Lynn (Jeff) Baer of Marietta, GA. Kendra Krider Delano of Puerto Aventuras, MX and Dr. Michael (Kim) Delano of Catonsville, MD. Six great-grandchildren also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Paul O. Krider and two grandsons: Stuart English Duncan, III and Paul Krider Duncan. Marylyn was a member of Junior League of Canton, past president of the Y.W.C.A, past president of the Canton Woman's Club, past president of MacDowell Music Club, member of Chapter A.G. of P.E.O. Sisterhood, past president of Congress Lake Garden Club, past president of the Stark County Mental Health Association, board member of the Phyllis Wheatly Association, and chairman of the American Workshop for the Blind, Marylyn was a life long member of Church of the Savior United Methodist. Following a private graveside service in North Lawn Cemetery a memorial service will be on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. in Church of the Savior United Methodist 120 Cleveland Ave., S. with Rev. Edward Fashbaugh and Dr. William Harvey officiating.
