Mary U. Young, age 67, of Hartville, passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 in Aultman Hospital after a courageous but brief battle with cancer. She was born on August 1, 1949 in Canandaigua, New York to the late Frederick and Margaret (Keyes) Underhill. Mary graduated from Wisconsin University and received her Master's Degree in Native American history from Akron University.

Survived by her husband James S. Young MD; son Christopher (Jayme) Beinlich DVM of Canal Winchester; step children Laura (Terry) George of Louisville, Scott (Natalie) Young of North Canton and Michael Young of Hawaii; brother and sister-in-law Mack and Candy Underhill of Illinois and eight grandchildren.

She had boundless enthusiasm for the farm, the woods and her riding trails. She leaves behind her beloved canines Samantha, Abbey, Trina and especially her equines Roc, Bas and Mariquita.

Per her request cremation has taken place. Calling hours and interment will be announced in the future.
