Mary J. Toles, age 88, of Massillon went home to be with the Lord on January 21, 2024, following a battle against dementia. She was born in Canton on January 6, 1936, to the late Lester and Ethel (Wallace) Smith and attended McKinley High School. She spent time working for Century Products and was known for being a homebody. Mary loved taking walks in the park, shopping, and treating herself to hot fudge sundaes. Mary was active at the Greater Bethel Apostolic Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William L. Toles and son Thedrick Smith. She is survived by her children Debra, Linda, Larry, Michael, and Robin Provitt; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Monday, January 29, 2024, from 10 – 11:30 AM at the Greater Bethel Apostolic Church. Funeral services will begin at 11:30 AM at the church with Pastor Elder Morris officiating.
