Obituary

Mary C. Schumacher, age 94, of Canton passed away on Friday, November 7, 2014. She was born December 25, 1919 to the late Frank and Rose Mastrangelo in Washington, PA. Mary spent most of her life in Canton; she was employed by the Timken Company during World War II and for Plain Local Schools for 21 years and then retired as head cook from Avondale School. She was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple and of Rehab Exercise at Timken Mercy for many years. Mary spent many years walking at Canton Center and Belden Village Malls. She was a tireless worker and skilled in the kitchen, but most of all she was a devoted mother to her two children giving them unconditional love. Her presence here on earth was a gift we will always treasure and be thankful for. In addition to her parents Mary was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Schumacher, son; Gary B. Schumacher, sisters; Evelyn, Imogene and Violet and a brother Samuel. She is survived by her loving daughter; Sandra (Ralph) Kenville. 3 grandchildren; Eric (Melissa) Schumacher of Navarre, Nichole (Bob) Windemuth of Louisville and Katie Peterson of Michigan and 4 great-grandchildren. Sisters; Vi (Ed) Johnson of Massillon and Helen Landis of VA. Brother's Frank Mastrangelo of Canton and Pete (Marilyn) Mastrangelo of PA also survives. Funeral Service will be 12 noon, Wednesday in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. NW with Rev. Delaney Young officiating. Interment will be in West Lawn Cemetery.
