Mary Anne Schiffer, age 82, of Canton, born March 13, 1927 passed away April 16, 2009 in Aultman Hospital. She had worked in several retail stores and in home health care. Organizations to which she belonged included; Rosary Altar Society at St. Josephs Catholic Church, Lions Club Auxiliary, and the Eagles. Preceded in death by; Parents Leo and Francis Welsh. Husband of 20 years; Thomas W. Schiffer (Decorated Veteran of WWII, USAF); Brother; Anthony (Sid) Welsh, and Sister Theresa Film. Survived by Sons; Paul, Leo, and David (Karen) Schiffer, Sister; Cecelia Boylan all of Canton, Brothers; Patrick (Carol)Welsh of Canton, and Robert Welsh of Florida, Brother-in-Law; Joseph (Louise) Schiffer of North Canton, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Monday, 1:00 PM in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas Street W. with Pastor Clifford Hughes officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
