Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Owen, age 93, of Hartville and formerly of Cleveland Heights and Shaker Heights, passed away on Sunday November 18, 2012 with her family by her side. She was born on September 5, 1919 in Steubenville, Ohio to the late Clinton Henry and Letitia Amelia (Morgan) Hunt. She graduated from Cleveland Heights High School and attended the Cleveland Institute of Art. She married David T. Owen Jr. and they raised their family in Cleveland Heights. She worked administrative jobs with The May Company, Aetna Insurance Company and with The Visiting Nurse Association of Cleveland retiring in the late 1990's. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Dianne and Robert Huling of Glenmont, OH, son and daughter-in-law David III and Denise Owen of Hartville; grandchildren Kimberly Hill, Pam Huling and Michele Duvecky, Scott (Paula) Huling, Debbie (Evan) Ogrodnik, David IV (Jennifer) Owen, Amy (Shane) Rissler, Jonathan Owen; and great-grandchildren, Amanda and Allison Hill, Rebekah, Sarah and Julia Huling, Eliza and Riley Ogrodnik, Sadie Newman, and Elijah Rissler; other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her husband David T. Owen Jr. in 1972; brothers Kenneth Hunt, Edwin Hunt, G. Arthur Hunt and Robert Hunt. Friends may call Saturday 2 PM, November 24 at the Arnold Funeral Home Hartville and the funeral service begins at 3 PM with Pastor Rufus Hofelt II officiating.
