Mary E. Myers, age 89, of Canton, passed away Wednesday, September 2nd in the Inn at Belden Village. Born in Canton to the late Albert and Anna (Vitak) Klingaman, Mary was a graduate of St. John's High School and married Carl Myers on October 1, 1943. After learning to drive at age fifty she worked various office jobs including Finney's Drug Store and Rolando's Restaurant. Mary's hobbies included many card clubs and working crossword puzzles. After retirement Mary & Carl enjoyed their many trips to Myrtle Beach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl L. Myers in 2010; sisters: Dorothy Hershberger, Margaret Beebe; brothers: Robert and Paul Klingaman. Mary is survived by her four children: Michael (Kathy) Myers of Georgia, Bruce (Jane) Myers of Arizona, Suzanne (Rick) Roman and Dennis (JoAnn) Myers of Ohio; grandchildren: Brian (Allison) Myers, Rachel (Roger) Tipton, Stacey (Phil) Goldie, Ryan and Sarah Roman, Melissa (Chris) Bauer and Nicole Myers; great-grandchildren: Kylie and Cade Myers, Henry and Jack Tipton and Caitlin and Charlotte Goldie; brother, Lawrence Klingaman of Florida. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial service 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home, 4817 Cleveland Avenue N.W. with The Very Reverand Ronald M. Klingler.
