Together Again Mary Louise Laird went to be with our Lord and His angels August 20, 2008 after battling Alzheimer's for over 7 years. She was born to William and Gladys (Mowry) Ford on April 17, 1928. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband John William Laird (1996), and son Terry John Laird (2001). She is survived by her son Rodney Allen Laird of Wyoming, daughter-in-law Jackie Laird Cole (Randall), granddaughter Patty Summerfield (Steve), grandson Tim Laird (Kristen), great grandchildren Tiffany Arnold and Elizabeth Arnold and Sarah, Amanda, Joshua, and Aaron Laird, plus several cousins. She worked for Canton City Schools as Secretary for Horace Mann School and Lincoln High School for many years. She also worked for Ford Motors in the Payroll Department for many years from which she retired. She loved very much and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and family and many friends. She loved going to luncheons with the Class of 1946 and the Ford Motors and Youtz girls. She was also a member of AARP and loved to go on trips with them. She was a devout Christian and was in the church choir for many years at Eleventh Street Church of God of Canton and the Church of the Nazarene of Canton. Calling hours are Sunday 5-7 PM and Monday 10-11 AM in the Arnold Funeral Home Canton. Funeral services are Monday 11 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Randy Shafer officiating.
