Mary Lousie Hodel Robson, 1929-2024, age 95 of Canton passed away on Saturday, September 14. She was born in Canton to Philip J. and Lucille M (Halbritter) Hodel on April 15, 1929. She is survived by her son, E. Jay Robson II, his wife Susan (Hindman), and grandson, Brandon Robson. Her husband, E. Jay Robson, proceeded her in death in 2018.

Mary Lou graduated as valedictorian from McKinley High School. She graduated from the College of Wooster with Special Honors, was elected to Phi Betta Kappa and Phi Sigma Iota (Language Honorary). Her Masters of Education was granted by Kent State University where she was elected to Kappa Delta Phi, Honorary, and did her doctorial study. She was also elected to Delta Kappa Gamma (Women's Education Honorary).

She was a member of the Canton Art Museum and the Canton Woman's Club where she served on the Board of Directors for 22 years. She taught Sunday school at her church. Her specialty in the field of art was watercolor painting and enameling. She received honorary awards and recognition in her field. She enjoyed lecturing on Art History and antiques. She also enjoyed doing stage scenery, designing floats for the Hall of Fame and designing church banners. She especially enjoyed working with her students.
