Obituary
Mary L. Hiltner, 88, passed on to join her family in heaven February 18, 2018.
Mary was born in Sugarcreek, Ohio June 20, 1929 to Ernest and Frieda Stauffer. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Virgil, and all her siblings, Violette, Margrit, Walter, Lillian and Victor. She is survived by her children, Eric (Bonnie) of SC, John (Barb) of Ohio, Tom (Tuyet) of CA, and Peggy of CO; grandchildren, Tonya (J. Adam) Oxford, Adam (Catherine) Hiltner, Amanda (Tom) Sergent, Emily Hiltner, Victor Hiltner; great grandchildren, Everly and Keaver Hiltner.
Mary was a member of the First United Church of Christ for most of her adult life, and was a member of the church choir. She loved music, and also enjoyed singing with various women's groups. She volunteered with the 901 program at First Church for many years. She and Virgil visited most of the states in the US, and were especially impressed by Alaska.
Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Thursday in the First Church of the Resurrection with Dr. Bruce Mont officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service in church.
